Susan Cianciolo is a New York based fashion designer, artist and film director.
In 1995 she collaborated with Kim Gordon/ Sonic Youth on the X-girl clothing label while launching her own project, RUN Collection. Her fashion work is very different from pret a porter. All her creations are handmade using sustainable materials and her use of cutting and folding one-of-a-kind fabrics, pasting drawings and interwoven hand-stitches produce uniquely unusual and poetic garments savored by the eyes and cherished by the wearer. Her patrons include MIKE MILLS (film director), MARK BORTHWICK (artist/photographer), TAKASHI HONMA (photographer), MIRANDA JULY (film director), FLEA (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and KIM GORDON (Sonic Youth).
